Statement by expert Archbishop Prof. Dr. theol. Dr. phil. Dr. mult. Thomas Schirrmacher on the third report by the German federal government on the global situation regarding freedom of religion and belief (reporting period 2020 to 2022)
The Department of Theological Concerns of the World Evangelical Alliance has published two speeches of its members at a Human Rights Conference of the Anglo-American University held at the Czech National Bank.
The Institute of Human Rights along with the Institute of Religion and Beliefs co-organized a scientific seminar titled “Limits of Religious Freedom Rights” on March 6th, 2018 with the participation of lecturers and researchers from these two institutes, a large number of master’s students majored in Laws of Human Rights and Religious studies.
The Associate Secretary General of World Evangelical Alliance, being among other things responsible for interreligious dialogue of this network of 600 million Protestants, calls upon top religious leaders worldwide to sign the UNHCHR’s “Beirut Declaration on ‘Faith for Rights’ (FAR)” and to help to fulfill UN’s Rabat Plan of Action.

The World Evangelical Alliance published a compendium with 19 global declarations on freedom of religion or belief and human rights in its ‘Global Issues Series’.
The CDU/CSU Evangelical Working Group has published a talk held by the President of the International Council of the International Society for Human Rights, Thomas Schirrmacher. The talk, entitled “Human Rights in the One World,” was held at at the State Synod of the Lutheran Church in Württemberg and has been appeared in the CDU/CSU Protestant Working Group’s Evangelische Verantwortung (Protestant Responsibility) magazine.
