The Co-Director of the International Institute for Religious Freedom (IIRF), Prof. Dr. Christof Sauer, has updated his suggestions for an appropriate use of the World Watch List on the occasion of the release of the Index.
Thomas Schirrmacher published his speech at the opening of the religious freedom chair at the Gießen School of Theology. In it he thanks Hermann Gröhe for the “most momentous rebuke in all my life”.

The President of the International Council of the International Society for Human Rights, Thomas Schirrmacher, gave a plenary lecture to the Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Württemberg in Heilbronn on the topic “Human Rights in the One World.” Schirrmacher had been proposed and invited by representatives of the 'Open Church' discussion group (comparable to parliamentary groups or factions).
