Last month, members of the Ghassanid Royal Family and also board members of the Royal House of Ghassan have visited the world leader of the Bektashi Orderof Sufi Islam at their world headquarters in Tirana, Albania.
Last month, HIRH Prince Gharios El Chemor of Ghassan Al-Numan VIII, head of the Royal House of Ghassan and members of the Ghassanid Royal Familywere officially received by the Grand Mufti of Albania, Dr. Skënder Bruçaj, the highest Sunni Muslim authority in the country.
At this landmark event with more than a thousand listeners the questions posed were, is religion an instigator or a peacemaker in conflicts and pisions in society? To address such issues, religious leaders from various faiths and scholars joined to explore the depths of history, theology and politics.
HIRH Prince Gharios El Chemor of Ghassan Al-Numan VIII, head of the Royal House of Ghassan and members of the Ghassanid Royal Family were officially received by Albanian President Bujar Nishani at the presidential palace in Tirana. The president received the Order of Saint Michael Archangel and invited the Royal Family for an exclusive lunch. The president also received the lifetime membership for the Royal Ghassanid Academy of Arts and Sciences, presided by Prof. Dr. phil. Thomas Schirrmacher.
The Associate Secretary General of World Evangelical Alliance, being among other things responsible for interreligious dialogue of this network of 600 million Protestants, calls upon top religious leaders worldwide to sign the UNHCHR’s “Beirut Declaration on ‘Faith for Rights’ (FAR)” and to help to fulfill UN’s Rabat Plan of Action.
The Deputy Secretary General of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), Thomas Schirrmacher, has drawn a positive conclusion regarding its international program of dialog with leading Muslim clerics around the world.
