The International Institute of Religious Freedom published all the 12 official reports to the UN Human Rights Council of the UN Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religions and Belief, presented by the present United Nations Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief, Heiner Bielefeldt. Each report has its own specific topic like religious minorities, apostasy and blasphemy, conversion, women’s rights, or school education.

After “Manchester,” there was complete silence in the British media and within British politics about the fact that the perpetrators and those who took responsibility for the act of terror invoked Islam. It is a worthy aim to have the desire to prevent innocent individuals, in this case Muslims around the world, from being thrown into a maelstrom where they are prejudged. My teacher Heinrich Leonard Cox (1935–2016) died on September 6, 2016, a few weeks after his 81st birthday. Since far too few obituaries have appeared, I would like to remember him once again.
After our visit of the President of Lebanon we met Patriarch Gregory III Laham in front of the President’s palace, as the Pope had just excepted his resignation at age 84 and he officially said farewell to the President. So we just drove to his second official residence (the first one is in Damascus).
