ARTICLE Lecture at the International Symposium on “Religions and Religious Freedom. Human Rights Perspectives on the interplay between Mission and Conversion” (February 18–20, 2009) at the Centre for Interreligious Studies at the University of Bamberg.
The president of the ISHR expressed “pride”, in noting that Cape Verde has a “strong parliamentary democracy”, highlighting that “the power of the people is in parliament.”
The President and the Secretary General of the ISHR conducted an exploration mission in Panama since ISHR currently does not have a representation in the country.

Thomas Schirrmacher has compiled various lectures and essays from the last two decades that address the question of whether apologetics of the Christian faith towards other religions and worldviews is fundamentally compatible with interreligious dialogue.
During a visit to the capitals of the two West African countries Togo and Benin, Bishop Thomas Paul Schirrmacher also took a detour by canoe across Lake Togo for an audience with King Mlapa VI of Togoville.
