Thomas Schirrmacher, Associate Secretary General of the World Evangelical Alliance for Theological Concerns, was keynote speaker at the 32nd General Assembly of the Liberia Council of Churches.
Under the title “Advancing climate justice with faith-based renewable energy projects” the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) will host an official side event at the Fourth United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-4).
The President of the International Society for Human Rights (ISHR), Professor Thomas Schirrmacher, met in Kiev (Ukraine) with leading lawyers and human rights defenders from that country.
In late November the 3 day “Global Summit on Religion, Peace and Security” was held at the UN in Geneva to address the spread of violent extremism, which manipulates and misuses religion to justify brutal violence against civilians.
